Fancies Prada and Pandora are examples of 1 in 10,000 twins in alpacas.  This is like winning the lottery for us as there is only a 10% chance of both of these girlies being alive!  But still both came out with healthy weights of 11.1 and 12 pounds 2 days after birth and are steadily gaining.  Pearl is a great Mom and produces tons of milk so we haven't had to supplement the babies at all!  We only have increased her ration and are feeding her hay with some alfalfa in it. We have noticed that the twins have an incredible bond already and play with each other constantly.  Their fleece is blue black and has a medium density and is exhibiting a nice crimp.  They have very nice heads which they likely got from their sire Vivace.
